About Dreamt Awake

Real people. Real support. A stronger tomorrow.

Dreamt Awake exists to make life a little easier for people going through cancer, and to remind them they are not alone.

More than a platform

We are a community of people who believe in the power of compassion, connection and everyday support. Treatment asks enough of a person. The rent, the lights, the medication and the lost pay keep coming anyway. Here, someone can ask for help with those things and be met by people who want to give it.

Our mission

To provide financial support and a sense of community for people with cancer.

We believe that no one should have to choose between their health and their basic needs. Our mission is to remove financial barriers and create a more compassionate, connected world for people facing cancer, with practical support and a community that cares.

Our values

Why we exist

Cancer is already enough to carry.

People going through cancer should not also have to fight to be noticed, build an audience, or prove that their need deserves attention just to receive help. Dreamt Awake is built to make practical support easier to reach, especially for people who do not have a large network standing behind them.

Dreamt Awake was born in prayer and is being built in service to Jesus Christ.

How it works here

Every person is verified first
Identity through Stripe Identity, the diagnosis by a doctor's letter, reviewed by our team. Nobody receives a dollar before. We verify the person, not each bill.
Give to one person, or to the Fund
Support someone whose story stays with you, or give to the Community Fund and we share it among verified people each month. A gift can carry a letter that only they read.
What we keep
We keep 5% of every gift to run Dreamt Awake, shown before anyone gives. The card fee is added to what the giver pays. Everything else reaches the person.
